I also had a cup of tea in a really lovely mug. Sadly no oat or soya milk.
It’s ages since I’ve been around that area of Hull so had no idea about Baldwin’s. It was light, airy, immaculately clean with colourful chairs and lots of tables.
The cafe soon started to fill up with people having lunch ( the menu looked very good!) and portions were generous.

What a fantastic place, We was coming into Hull from out of town to visit a friend and found this little gem of a place and WOW! The food is gorgeous and it serves the best breakfast I've ever tried from a cafe and has the friendliest staff too. I would highly recommend calling in, they even serve Mexican food, and milk shakes using real ice cream and an ice cream machine, we will definitely be going back I wish I could have left 6 star rating.😊Owner response

Lovely cafe. We went for breakfast which was very enjoyable, and the service was great. Lovely warm welcome from the young lady who served us. Excellent value for money and spotlessly clean. Wouldn't mind tea in a mug rather than a takeaway cup, but would recommend and will almost certainly go again tomorrow as it's 100 yards from our Airbnb. Update. We did go again and got our tea and coffee in a mug. 🥰

We arrived at a busy period in the morning but the short wait was worth every second. The full English breakfast was amazing! (I chose not to have egg or mushrooms).

Popped into this lovely cafe regularly when we were staying nearby, initially for the great coffees and then to tuck into a tasty and very substantial full English. Well worth a visit!

Lovely wee café. Staff were very welcoming and kind. Had the homemade chicken curry and got the choice of rice or chips and was no problem when I asked for half and half. The curry was amazing! Will definitely be returning to try more of the homemade meals. Very clean and comfortable and didn't have to wait too long even though it was pretty busy.

- There were a couple kids in the café and it didn't seem to be a bother for the staff to lower the price and given them a smaller portion of whatever they ordered which was good as I would definitely bring my granddaughter.

The staff are wonderfully friendly, the food is always fresh and despite the cafe's popularity, the food is always served promptly. The sweet treats are absolutely to die for. Honestly this is a treasure of a place for absolutely anyone.

Hi Justyna your feedback is really appreciated and that you enjoyed your experience with us. It's always good to know what we do well and what can be improved. It is a weird thing to manage in terms popularity - obviously popularity is a great thing but it can be a problem if the queues are hard to manage, but that's one thing we've been conscious of. With feedback just like yours we now ensure we always have 3 staff on all times especially across lunch and we even have targets. For example we aim to only take about 15 - 20 seconds to make a sausage sandwich. The great thing is that while serve customers quickly we also ensure we keep the standards high. To manage the queues we also always ask those in the queue to come to the front if they just want to buy a drink or pastry on it's own rather than making the queues longer than necessary. Amazing food!! Nice guy serving, Mexican lady made my burrito and it was the best Iv had. My wife had an egg sarnie, spot on yolk.. coffee nice too. Will be coming back

Absolutely love this place! My friend recommended this cafe and I was a little skeptical as cafes I've used in the past have been greasy and not good for their money but this place didn't not disappoint! Lovely food and worth the price. You have to try!

Late breakfast/early lunch. Food and drink are both excellent. And the fact that they use butter on their toast puts them on a pedestal to me. Breakfast was missing an egg but that was minor as other items made up for it. Wife's quesadilla was first class. Ended up taking away sandwiches for car journey ahead and these to were simply scrumptious. We will be back when in the area.

Great service great food. A wee gem of a cafe in Hull. My wife and I found this cafe while walking around Hull we ordered two breakfasts and tea. The food was delicious and the portions were huge.

Things you will find different in your next visit will include our decoration and our menu. Soon we'll also include pizza on our menu along with the many options that we already offer. One thing we are proud to say and that is we don't do a small option, that is why we only advertise a regular or large, but as you know when compared to Greg's or anywhere else our regular is more like a large and our large is more like a jumbo. We hope you pay a visit again to check out the new changes.
